Therapy and Consultation
Culturally Responsive Bilingual Services
It can be hard for people from Black, Brown, Asian, and immigrant communities to reach out for mental health services. Please take a moment to acknowledge yourself for being here. I am glad that you have found my site. Perhaps you are looking for a way to connect with yourself and others more fully.
Growth and healing is nuanced and deeply personal.
They happen when you feel seen as a whole person and can speak in the language that feels most comfortable.
For many people in Asian, Black, Brown, and immigrant communities, healing has long lived in ancestral practices, spiritual life, community, movement, food, ritual, and relationships that predate and exist outside of Western clinical therapy. Thus, my approach to therapy welcomes the integration of all the elements in your life that bring healing to you.
Our culturally responsive, bilingual practice holds both cultural and historical context, supporting your growth within the world you're living in now.

Cultural Responsive Bilingual Services

Deciding to begin therapy can feel daunting, especially for those of us in Asian, Black, Brown, and other communities of color. And yet, therapy can become a path toward liberation and a fuller life. I would be honored to walk that path with you.
I believe people are born to thrive. But emotional suffering, such as stress, anger, depression, anxiety, can leave us feeling stuck. My work is to bring attention to where it’s most needed.
I am a bilingual (English and Mandarin) psychologist experienced in working with people from diverse backgrounds and marginalized identities. Together, we will focus on both your immediate and longstanding challenges by (1) deepening your understanding of yourself and the world and (2) developing ideas/strategies to help you regain a sense of control and freedom.
Beyond therapy, I also provide consultation and training for individuals, organizations, and communities on bilingual therapy and culturally responsive care. I would love to hear from you.
